All you need is whatever you are most likely to take your photographs with. This might be a mobile phone, or it might be the top of the range DSLR. We will discuss, demonstrate and practice how to use lighting to best serve your needs.
Come and learn how to photograph a wedding. Current professional wedding photography specialists lead you through how they would approach, plan, shoot, and post-produce their weddings. Oh, and getting the price right!
This day long course begins at 9:30am, includes coffee and lunch, and ends at 4pm.
Of course weddings are a very personal day, and every wedding photographer will shoot the day in their own, with their own style. But there are certain things that you absolutely have to get right (and that’s not just making sure you get the “must-have” images!). We’ll look at marketing, and we’ll discuss contracts and “interviews” with the clients. We’ll look at what kit and equipment you’ll need, we’ll go through the planning of the day, we’ll look at how discretion and understanding play a huge role. We will look at image “husbandry” and ensuring the clients get the best possible product from you.
In fact, we’ll cover everything from start to finish.

Please be aware of the weather, as we will (unless it really doesn’t allow us!) be conducting some photography outside; so if we are middle of summer or middle of winter, please bring appropriate clothing. Some reasonably sturdy shoes will be important too.
It depends on the course. We will look to fill up to 20 places, but we always work to an instructor/student ratio of 1:8 or less, for the practical sessions.
We need to make sure we have a viable amount of people coming. You will be informed in good time if this is the case. You will receive a credit for another course, or a full refund if you’d prefer.
