We cannot say it hasn’t been emotional, and we can’t say it hasn’t been tough. But it’s been tremendously exciting, and it’s going to be incredible! (If we had the office camera turned on, you’d see the team dancing on the desks)
The last couple of years have been stuffed with uncertainty. Businesses have gone under, and people have moved on. But here at Photo Journey we haven’t just been sitting idly by waiting for events to change. No sir, not us. We have used the time wisely, considerately, and productively (we would say that, wouldn’t we?).
The result is an important change in what we do, and a significant increase in products that we offer. You’ll already have noticed the new destinations we have on our photography adventure holiday page. We still have Nepal (obvs) and Scotland, but have added Tuscany, Transylvania, Morocco, and Colorado (Levison Wood’s new place in the desert!) We have some ideas for more locations too. As ever, we are trying to hit the sweet-spot between amazing and beautiful locations; and remote less-tourist-heavy destinations. It’s not an easy ask, but we are working to provide just that. It’s why we began, and it guides us in all our destination planning. (Oh we plant trees too – we have our own grove! 80 trees and counting, and we are a certified member of 1% for the Planet)
Thank you for creating the most incredible life-long memories
But we are also building our training courses. These are UK based; usually a day long; and focus on some of the specialisms in photography. We have experts guiding you through getting to understand what makes a good food photographer, for example, or a wedding photographer, or the business of photography etc.
Not only that, but we are offering some half day Photo Walks – a great way to meet fellow Photo Journey enthusiasts, whilst being guided by expert photographers.
So, that’s the update. We are changing and evolving, but the ethos at our core remains.
We shall be exhibiting again at the Photography Show (17-20 September), so if you get the chance, come and see us and find out what we are all about face-to-face.
