Nepal – Here we come!

The day has arrived! We are 6! Me, Saraya, Mike, Piers, Rich, and Pim!  I have restricted the numbers for this trip, because we are going to the remote village of Barpak – the village at the very epicentre of the earthquake last year.  I took some photographs of some of those ex-Gurkhas who were affected at the time, and I hope we will get to see them again with their lives in somewhat better circumstances thanks to the Gurkha Welfare Trust!

Once we have spent some time up in the hills, we will make our way acroos to the Gurkha Centre in Pokhara, and on one of the days we will take some portraits of the most incredible ex-Gurkha Officer and author (now citizen of Nepal) 92 year old Colonel John Cross OBE.

It’s going to be a fascinating trip.  We shall post images from time-to-time using the hashtag: #photoJourney if you want to keep an eye on us on Instagram and Twitter.  We will also post to Facebook on the photoJourney page!

Wish us luck!

Johnny
